The job of the professor or administrator is a rather large and vital one. Many (though not all) of which are headed by retired Rangers, looking to help mold the next generation of active Rangers. Some of these people who assisted in the forming of the school were simply holding on to the ways of the past, unable to practice the art when the ban was in existence and have come up from the background to help renew what was once a powerful tradition. Unfortunately most of the Rangers that were active before the ban in 2012 would be too old to take on a strenuous teaching job. Most professors now are from other countries, retired from service out of places like Germany, Canada, Russia, England, Australia and many more. They can also, in less common cases, be retired American professors that were injured in battle or who retired early. The first several years of the PPRA allowed older Rangers to be trained, which makes some of those men and women the appropriate age to have taken up teaching. All professors of the PPRA classes tend to range between the ages of 30 to 60, rarely younger (for need of experience) and rarely older (for need of fitness in most cases). Exceptions can be made on occasion; simply submit questions to the moderators and we will help you. There are many different classes being taught at the Project Power Ranger Academy and a separate body to head each subject, and as a result not all professors will have similar backgrounds. A professor in charge of Yoga, Nutrition & Personal Wellness or Martial Arts may not have had any Ranger experience at all in his past, and therefor does not need to have an extensive past with the Academy. They can have simply trained at any college, gone on to teach and ended up here through whatever series of circumstances the player creates. However, a professor of classes such as Basic Zord Mechanics, History of the Ranger or Teleportation must have some sort of Ranger-centric background in order to make sense. Players looking to fill the shoes of these important characters should keep in mind: Professors and Administrators are people of responsibility and cannot still be in the process of learning or growing up. This is one of the reasons we are not accepting (many) youthful professors; it wouldn't make much sense given the story line.
So what if you want to live on the Academy grounds, but aren't sure you want to play a Professor? Clearly you don't want to be a Ranger or Student either, since you've made it to the Professor/Staff page! Not to worry, because you can be a general member of the staff just as easily. If you have the itch to be kitchen help, to deal with technical support or even to maintain the Alpha bots, now's your chance! Simply fill out the second application and send it in; we're more than happy to accommodate those who wish to be a part of the action but not necessarily involved directly in it. Please be sure to be detailed in your application; the fewer details you provide, the less likely you are to be accepted for a role such as this one. It's not meant to endorse laziness, so please do not pick this as an attempt to sit on the sidelines. This is just another creative outlet for those that want to explore this edge of the story line.

Playing a civilian will never be the focus of the overall game or the story lines the mods may run. The creation of a civilian is case by case, and if you cannot justify the existence of your character, you may not be allowed to play him. As this is a Ranger-centric game, civilians need to be kept relevant. Perhaps they are the wife of a Ranger, the sister, the best friend that knows, the flunked-out student wanting to get back in, the retired Ranger living alone. Whatever the case may be, please understand that the lines you play will need to be created by yourself. At times, civilians can and will impact the game in important ways, but do not join only with a civilian and expect a ton of interaction - especially not right off the bat! If you have ideas but aren't sure about them, visit Power Lines to ask for ideas or look for a few. This was added in hopes that more story lines may be filled and to offer a wider appeal. If your heart is set on playing a civilian character in a game mostly surrounding the campus grounds of the academy, we will try to work it out to the best of our abilities.
