Student Information:

As a Ranger in training, your brave young (between the ages of 17-25) character will be helping to rebuild the world. This in mind, be aware that we will not be accepting any super rebellious trouble-makers, mopey emo-boys, totally flaky and conceited one-sided Sues or anyone completely out-of-shape (to be sure the physical demands can be met). Rather, we want to see young people with lots of character, whether they're moody or friendly; so long as they possess a good heart, they will be a perfect fit for the PPRA.

Being recruited is simple enough. There are times the PPRA will send out letters of invitation to the brightest and best high school graduates, but more often than not the recruitment happens the other way around. Applications are sent in from all across the states, hopefuls looking to better the lives of their families and friends (or those simply looking for a thrill). If certain standards are met and a new student is accepted, he/she will be allowed two weeks to pack and prepare before being teleported away to their new home.

Upon arrival, all new Rangers in training are taken immediately into the main Academy building with the task of completing the Ranger Placement Exam (RPE). This will decide what color they are to carry throughout the rest of their Ranger career. Along with the RPE, new Rangers will also visit with the Meditation 101 Professor, Jason Applegate, to find their animal spirit. This spirit will help guide them through their training and protect them through all their battles. After finding their color and animal spirit, Rangers in training are given their power coin and communicator. As soon as your student begins to connect with his/her animal spirit (via the power coin), their body will begin being affected by the notorious hormone spikes (please see the FAQ for info on this, and there are more details in the Class listing). More information about colors and houses can be found by scrolling down a bit.

As a Ranger in training, your room and board (and yummy cafeteria lunches) are included. Anything extra (like new shoes or clothes or books) aren't provided. Therefor most students end up employed somewhere in Angel Grove to get a little extra spending money.

Color Information:

Every student to attend the PPRA will be different in his or her own right, unique individuals on every level. Below is a list of the houses and a brief description of the types of personalities one would likely find within each house. These are loose guidelines to help you pick which color best suits your character, though they are not exact and every letter does not need to be taken to heart. Please do not panic over these guidelines; they are here to help create a basic level of student and color sorting and give the game a touch of that "house" atmosphere.

RED

"The Scott House" - Rangers placed in this house are natural leaders. They tend to be strong willed and always ready to act as needed. Committed and tenacious, they excel in most physical attributes and have a presence that commands respect. They make lasting and dependable friends, and are in many ways the protective older brother of every team.

BLUE

"The Cranston House" - Rangers placed in this house tend to be thinkers and problem solvers. Equally as important as any other teammate, they are turned to when there's more to a situation than meets the eye. Creative and open to explorations, they have been known to wander too far into something without realizing an error until it is too late.

YELLOW

"The Kwan House" - Rangers sent to this house are seen to have a vibrant love of life and a positive outlook on the world. They are the shoulder to cry on and the smile to brighten a bad moment. At times they can be self involved, but for the most part they care very strongly for their friends and teammates.

GREEN

"The Oliver House" - Rangers placed in this house have a gentle natured mind with an openness for communication. They have strong leadership skills, and make for excellent Second In Command positions. Endearing and honest, the flaws they may have are oftentimes small enough to be easily overlooked as their negative traits do not tend to hinder them.

PURPLE

"The Hart House" - Rangers in this house are known for being very social and outgoing, willing to do all they can to better themselves. Valued and dependable, they bring with them a strong sense of purpose and a graceful way of living that helps the team remain steadied when situations are dire.

BLACK

"The Taylor House" - Rangers placed in this house are - for the most part - at peace with themselves and the world, full of wisdom and rationality in times of need. They tend to be skillful and driven, hard workers willing to see things through to the end. They make lasting and steady friendships, though they can tend to dominate conversations without realizing it.

Email your application to agrpg.mod@gmail.com. We will get back to you no later than 24 hours from your submission, and likely sooner than that in most cases. As moderators, we reserve the right to refuse any character, any player and any plot. We are fair-minded, more than willing to listen to anyone or any suggestions brought to our attention. Ultimately though, any major or final game decisions are our call. Please respect this. If your application has been denied, we will always provide a fair and reasonable answer, and promise to be polite and respectful.
