Common Gaming Etiquette - If you are not familiar with common rpg etiquette, I'm not sure what you're doing here. The basics apply. No power-modding, no drama-whoring, no taking OOC knowledge and turning it IC, etc. These all apply here. If you have questions, ask. Major Plot Lines - (i.e. death, pregnancies or destruction) All of these things MUST be spoken about to the mods before being put into play. This is so that we don't end up with a group full of pregnant/dying/etc characters or constant battle situations. Some control has to be - unfortunately - exercised over these issues. However, there will not be nit-picking over every tiny happening. That's an official promise. RP Format - Role play MUST be done in 3rd person, past tense - no exceptions. It should be written paragraph style. We don't want asterisk or colon RP here. "Speech should be kept inside quotations," said the moderator. While you do not have to write novel-length responses, we expect that for the most part you will put forth the effort to at least write a paragraph (or two). Occasionally small responses are okay, but do not make this a habit! Sorry, we have standards in this game! Character Cap - The number of characters allowed to an individual depends on the level of activity and willingness to participate in plots and development. If you aren't online very much and aren't posting logs/participating in threads regularly, you will not be allowed more characters. There is no set maximum, though having more than five or six seems a little much. Please talk to the mods when thinking about bringing in a new character, as it is their decision as to whether or not you've earned the rights to do so. Players may only bring in one character at a time, and must wait a (short) period of time before being allowed another. This period of time is up to the mods, and how they feel about your activity level. (NOTE: New players may bring in two characters to start with, but beyond that the rule is as already detailed above.) Activity Expectations - We don't care if you prefer threading or aim scening. So long as you're being active, you'll be fine. If you do more aim than threading, all we ask is that you post some of your logs to the group. That way we can see that you're actually being active in the game. If we notice someone not appearing in any scenes for an extended period of time, we're going to pester you. Participate in a group thread, make a journal entry, offer up plot ideas. Those types of things are all considered activity. Mostly, we want you to have fun. We don't want to have to pester anyone about being active. Rated R/NC-17 Scenes - All logs with an R or NC-17 rating need to be friends locked and appropriately labeled. No exceptions! The mods reserve the right to remove any logs that are not properly locked and labeled. If it isn't R/NC-17 rated, you do not have to lock it. In fact, we would prefer you didn't so that new people can watch the game to see if they'd like to join. Anti-Clique! - Branch out and meet new players; have fun! That's what this game is about! Cliques are not going to be encouraged here and are not okay. Everyone has their preferences, but the last thing we want is one of those games where there are a few people sitting on the outside, neglected and sad-faced. Grounds for Removal - We will remove people if we have to. We do not ask a lot of our players, but sadly from time to time we mods will have to exercise our power. If we feel that you as a player are threatening the game environment and the comfort and happiness of our players, you will be kicked out immediately. We have watched other games tear each other apart over stupid stuff like this, and we are unwilling to see it happen here. Things that will get you removed are these: 1. Being rude/disrespectful to the moderators or your fellow players on a consistent basis. 2. Not being active after several warnings. 3. Bad-mouthing. 4. Breaking rules and continuing to do so after warnings have been given. Please, if you have any further questions about any of the rules, contact a moderator and we will respond as soon as possible. Do not guess if you aren't sure, and do not debate with other players about it before first being sure with us. We are the friendliest moderators you're going to find, so please do not hesitate to ask us anything. | |||||
